hear it speak
The radio, though today is a little ignored, has affected not only the life of one but of so many people.
Before the television enters into picture, it was the radio whom everyone listens to. It was everybody's source of information and entertainment.
The radio then was very powerful. Until now I guess it is. Rain or shine, they can get informations through transistor radios. Informations given out by the radio reached far-flung places because most of the radios then doesn't require any electricity. It's source of energy then were batteries.
Radios entertain. Some dramas were played in the radio. But it was only meant to be heard yet it has then lots of audiences though there were theatres but to televisions. It was what entertains the people before. They were already happy with that since they have just a limited means of entertainment.
Radios inform. This is a fact, we all know that they really do. People from far places heard of the bad deeds of Marcos through their transistor radios and these informations brought them to Manila to be one with the others as they join themselves in the People Power Revolution in EDSA. Until now, we get updated with the news as we hear them while we are riding in public vehicles on our way to some place.
Radios affect lives. It does alot. Though we don't see things through it, we hear courageous voices that speaks of their endless rants and opinions that in some point of our lives open our eyes to the reality of the real word.
